Author, Solo Show Artist, and Life Coach, Kelly Carlin (“The Person You Want to Be” – Ep. 20)

A child of the ’60s (and the “Big Electron”), Kelly Carlin

How do you go about forging your own path when your dad happens to be a legendary comedian and cultural icon?

In this episode of The Person You Want to Be, I speak with Kelly Carlin, who ended up creating a solo show and eventually a memoir (both entitled A Carlin Home Companion) to shed some light on this question for herself as much as for anyone else.

Kelly is wonderfully open and honest about her life, not to mention self-reflective, insightful, and psychologically astute.

While her story is unique, many will relate to the nearly universal human struggle of claiming one’s own voice and identity that lies underneath it.
