Writer, Dancer, Visual Artist, and Creative Midwife, Ahava Shira (“The Person You Want to Be” – Ep. 25)

Ahava Shira is a journal writer, memoirist, poet, performer, dancer & visual artist.

She is the author of a collection of poetry entitled Weaving of My Being, the creator of a spoken word audio recording called Love is Like This, and the co-author of the book Writing Alone Together: Journalling in a Circle of Women for Creativity, Compassion and Connection.

In my interview with her for The Person You Want to Be, we discuss the childhood challenges that shaped her (literally, in the case of scoliosis), and the winding path to claiming her creative birthright and helping others do the same.
